David Sola Sr.
My life of service has taught me dedication to serving something greater than myself. It has taught me about hard work, making sacrifices, and making difficult decisions that impact thousands of lives. It has made me the servant leader I am today. My background is simple: I came from nothing. I joined the Marines at 18, served honorably for 20 years, and now I am a proud member of this community in Temecula.
I am truly honored and excited about the chance to serve as a trustee for Area 4 on the TVUSD School Board. I kindly ask for your vote so I can represent your voice on the board with dignity, integrity, and courage.
David is a father of four children, one of whom proudly graduated from TVHS, while the other three attend various schools in TVUSD. He has honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps for 20 years and retired as Master Sergeant. He wanted to show his kids how important education is by setting a good example. He completed his college graduation while serving. He holds a BS in Electronics Systems Technology from Southern Illinois University with a management specialization (Summa Cum Laude), an AAS in Applied Technology from Central Texas College, a Six-Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University, and various military-specific accreditations and certificates, including Advanced Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership (with Distinction) and Aviation Advanced Maintenance and Operations Courses.
He has dedicated thousands of hours to volunteer work in every community he has lived in. During his military service, he was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. In New Orleans, he helped build several dozen homes over three years with Habitat for Humanity. In North Carolina, he volunteered with The Wingman Foundation for five years as the Logistics Support Specialist. Locally, he has volunteered with Charity for Charity at their events and been a parent volunteer with the Abby Reinke Running Club for the past two years.
David currently works as Operations Enablement Manager at an Education Technology Organization for Special Education. He develops and reports insights on how the organization serves children with diverse needs, reviews district caseloads to identify deficiencies, and improves processes to enhance services for over 80,000 student referrals across 600 school districts. David's background offers a unique perspective and an opportunity to bring stability, consistency, and dedication to our schools and community as he continues to serve. This experience will enable him to make informed, data-driven, and fiscally responsible decisions regarding the budget, especially with the looming fiscal deficit in the state budget.
